: To swap a serial number, navigate to Tools > Settings > Vectorworks Preferences , select the General tab, and click Serial numbers... to add or delete keys.
Most standard commercial licenses allow installation on two machines (e.g., a desktop and a laptop), provided they are not running simultaneously. If you get an activation limit error, you must uninstall the software from an older machine or contact Vectorworks support to deactivate the dormant hardware.
