In some situations, parameters 1860 and 1861 may not restore correctly after a power cycle. This is typically addressed by checking that parameters 138#2 (APS) and 1807#5 (APR) are both set to 0. If these are incorrectly configured, the reference point data may not be preserved properly.
These are starting values. Always perform a tuning test (see Part 5).
To refresh the data in Parameter 1860, follow the (often referred to as "homing the absolute axis"): Set Parameter 1815 bit 4 (APZ) to 0 for the specific axis. Restart the machine (this clears the old position). Manually move the axis to the desired "Home" position. Set Parameter 1815 bit 4 (APZ) back to 1 .
The system knows the position is invalid and requires you to perform a manual reference return.
